In my family I'm in a minority of one, I cannot stand either show. It must be 6 years since I last watched Eastenders unitll I saw part of the Christmas show and nothing had changed in all those years, one or other of the Mitchell brothers was drunk and being violent towards all including women, someone had just been murdered and most people seemed pleased at that, all life centered around the Queen Vic and in general everyone was behaving badly and not in the funny way. There are too many people who think that these soaps are more like reality than Big Brother.

But who wants to watch a show where people are nice to each other, where no one takes drugs and Mom and Dad don't come home from the pub and knock the shite out of each other, it just wont sell. And so Corrie and Eastenders will always beat The Vicar of Dibley
