I saw this on the news just now. Nick and the gang have agreed to allow non-white members into the BNP. What are people's opinions on how this may turn out? Can people REALLY see the BNP having many black and Asian members in a year or two's time? I can't.

Hi
If you look at the link that MP3 posted in another thread

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8514736.stm

and look at the video clip of Griffin you can see that he does not appear overly enthusiastic i.e. he was forced into doing this.

I don't know to what extent the constitution has been changed but in the middle of last year, the BNP constitution had this paragraph in it
"The British National Party stands for the preservation of the national and ethnic character of the British people and is wholly opposed to any form of racial integration between British and non-European peoples. It is therefore committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring, by legal changes, negotiation and consent, the overwhelmingly white make up of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948."

I expect there will be the odd Sikh or Hindu who despises Muslims joining, but looking at the above paragraph, attempting to get non-white members will be a bit like trying to get turkeys to vote for Xmas. But there again, I would be surprised if the BNP want non-white members given their history, aims and objectives. This change is purely to get the law of their back.

There will be some, possibly a lot

An often overlooked aspect of patriotism/nationalism is that often, the most patriotic people you could wish to meet are first generation migrants, particularly Indians, who feel nothing but love for this country and are proud to call themselves British.

The most racist people I know are immigrants by the way. They're as unimpressed by recent immigration as the BNP mob. I've always argued that if the BNP really wanted to be taken seriously and gain support, they should embrace the first and second generation of immigrants, because they care more about Britishness than your average white voter (it seems to me)

The whole thread is a joke,as if these scumbags would in any way welcome a black person. Why give these fascists the time of day. More to the point why would a black person ever consider joining a fascist party?

The BNP was a watered down version of the National Front and now its bollocks have been cut off by political correctness it will just look like a radical version of the Conservative party.

I prefer my racists 100% as they are because at least I know where I stand with them. This allowing people of colour working for them is just blurring the lines.

At this rate one of my mates might end up working for them and saying,

"Im sure my boss is racist because he keeps on telling me to make tea for him and his mates and they are forever telling black jokes and sniggering behind my back"

What the hell are we coming too when there is equal opportunities in a place that is fundamentally racist?

Remember the old days when racists just hated you for being foreign? I prefer it that way

Do a role reversal.

How many will now have a open air cremation thanks to last weeks court judgement?

The BBC put it as 'we' can all now have one no doubt they will be say that 'they' can now join the party.

Just another day for Nick the prick to get himself on the TV and state the tossers aren't a racist party.

I agree that Griffin has reluctantly done this, you could tell from his manner when he was talking on the TV news today. This is just another ploy by the Government to ruin the BNP. We had a debate on here about this a few months ago and I remember saying that the Establishment could have done this anytime in the pervious 27 years. The BNP apparently started in 1982 yet it took until they got nearly a million votes, over 100 councillors, and 2 MEPs for the Government to take action. I even remember seeing a BNP spokeman on TV a few months ago, after the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) had taken them to Court, and he said that even the Judge had asked the CRE why they were doing it now when they could have done it before - clearly it is just because the BNP had suddenly become quite big. If this attempt to mess them up doesnt work the Government (and it will be the same if it is the Labour or Tory party in office) will just try something else. We had 'accidental' leaks of BNP membership lists before. Next they will probably 'accidentally' leak a long list of BNP voters in order to scare people off from voting for them.

here comes their 1st australian member

Expect Pauline Hanson to join when she migrates from Australia

The former fish-and-chip shop owner who formed the Nationalist One Nation party and turned it into a political force during the nineties, is selling her Queensland home and relocating in search of "peace".

Pauline Hanson, the controversial former politician who famously claimed Australia was being "swamped" by Asians, is to become an immigrant herself.

Max, its nothing to do with the government trying to screw things up for the BNP

You could accuse the governemnt of doing that with everyone and everything that becomes popular.

If anyhting, the BNP knows it makes sense to kow tow to everyhting if it wants to be considered legitimiate.

Think about it, they have traded their union jack t shirts, braces and dm boots for suits now. The skin head thug of yesterday has matured into a politca animal, therein is how to play the game.

You can do more havoc with a pen and a vote than a good old fashioned tear up on the terraces screaming "White is right! Darkies go home!"

Nah mate its all about legitimising their position and heaven help us if we get some token ethnic in their saying how well they are being treated and that the BNP are misunderstood because they get a nice health plan and a pension and 40k a year.

I can almost hear it now, the chorus of "Uncle Toms" accusations.

My point is, if the white public really lost their mind and got the BNP into power it would be the worst thing the white race has done because they will run this country into the ground faster than it ever will right now and by then it will all be too late.

Britains standing with the rest of the world will be in ruins and terrorism will be at its all time high but I credit a lot of white people with a lot more intelligence than that and sure it will never happen.

One only has to look at Hitlers Germany to see the results of hatred and racism.

I'm probably biased but I just couldnt see a perfect Britain with BNP in power.

Nick Griffin couldnt even answer a lot of the basic questions coherently and stuttered and blustered his way and stepping in shit along the way then used a ruse of jack Straws avoiding the draft to hide his own inefficeiency.

Clearly he is a puppet for more sinister people to control.

Nick did do one good thing though, he clearly illustrated the discontentment a lot of people are feeling with regards the country and its immigration policies and the government should pay due attention to that.
