I for one was utterly gobsmacked at the false passports that the Israeli Secret Services appear to have made from people who have passed through their passport control.

What they were use for is a whole other topic for debate, but how many other crimes have been attributed to these apparently innocent people across the world, fake bank accounts? even traffic offences could stop them from being able to travel or even get jobs.

Is this the tip of the iceburg and are more peoples identities cloned?

I was reading a report today by someone who is an experienced analyst of the ways that Mossad operates ( assuming of course that it was them, but maybe it was not) and apparently they prefer to use genuine details for their passports, in this case British expats living in Israel.

This is done because they prefer not to travel on completely fake identities and the hope is that things do not go wrong, as in this case, not expecting the identities and photographs to be broadcast to the world!

The Mossad have a reputation as the best forgers on the planet. Israel has not morals when it comes to defence matters. As an old general in the IDF said "we have to fight hard and dirty. We lose and start swimming for Cyprus!"

With most countries now scanning passports on entry and departure who knows where our details end up, of course goverments will claim that their systems have the tightest security and only terrorist and criminals should be worried but this latest scenario proves otherwise !cool!

There was a little snippet on C4 news last night, someone phoned the show after seeing the news item, claiming on a recent visit to Israel, his passport was taken away for about 15 minutes, then returned without comment. He was worried they'd copied his details to be used later for some nefarious reason.

It's no wonder they give lots of people the shits.

It does seem rather amateurish and I for one think this was a Hamas job on one of theirs who fell from grace.
One paper has reported 11 people involved in the hit.
Mossad I would think would have used 2 maybe 3 agents, would have done the job and left immediately, and the dead bastard terrorist wouldn't have been found until the next day.
Dubai of all places aint got the cleverest government or cops to say the least and an amateurish set up like this would look like something they would probably do.
Alternatively, if it was Mossad then they have done this in such a way that no one in the intelligence world would countenance such a botchup as this. So, maybe it was designed to make people think it couldn't have been Mossad.

Good point. Mate of mine used to work on Met Anti Terror Unit and did opps with Mossad. Fearless and 110% ruthless. They were officially the only foreign service allowed to legally carry guns in the UK at all times. Was there not an attempted assassination on an Israeli diplomat outside the Dorchester where the Mossad bodyguard dropped three Palestinians in 8 seconds flat, all lethal shots?? Not to be fucked with at any cost.
