Now, that Hollywood produces such brilliant blockbusters, any attempt by porn producers to emulate these kinds of films look painfully sad. I saw the opening of "Pirates" much hailed in America as a major feature porn film, it was dreadful,appalling dead-pan acting and the "Inside" of the 17th Century ship looked like it was made from grey office partitions.You could even see the gaps, if it was real the fucking ship would have sunk in 5 minutes! Inexcusable, when in Hollywood you have access to the finest set designers and builders in the World.

I say if you can't do it properly, then don't do it at all.Unfortunately most porn features even big budget ones, do not exceed the production values of early "Blake's Seven" shows, but at least these were funny and the cast could act!

I think Mario Salieri films are superb, he doesn't use crappy sets, he uses actual castles and old houses. Italy of course is full of them.

The 1980/90's LA produced porn was great, all the stuff with Ron Jeremy and girls like Seka, unfortunately those days are long gone. However, even in those days I used to wind forward as best I could, past the "Acting" with my clunky VHS recorder, I can't remember anyone else actually watching the acting either.

Some folks like a plot, some don't - personally I think a little 'plotette' lol - like the Tv repairman or the plumber kinda adds to the scene - as you said sir " you now have the reason for the cock being there" the other aspect is that sometimes the more 'normal' looking the characters are - the more some guys think 'that could be me etc' or the girls for that matter, I think it it adds a certain realism to the scene other than just - camera ,action , fuck - just my opinion of course. And when I finally get my act together and start filming more than short clips, I think the 'plotette' is the way I will go.

I think you raised a good issue: " that could be me ".
A lot of couples enjoy porn, and they tend to project themselves into the situation.

Personally I like a bit of a plot to give some semblance of a storyline (however flimsy), or even the style of a lot of those softcore tapes produced in the 90's - themed vignettes.

Fuck the so called story line. Most of those in porn couldn't act their way out of a wet paper bag.
