I was amazed to hear that he was let out in 2001.... having killed that young boy James Bulger.....!furious!
I am staggered that as a country we allow the so called government to allow this.....!furious!
He and the other lad should never have seen daylight again! !furious!

It wasn`t our government who allowed him out, it was Europe

They were deemed no longer a threat to society, and Venables was the least likely of the pair to re-offend.
So they were spot on there, then.

Although our government seem to be able to ignore European court rulings on DNA retention, stop and search powers, without too much trouble.

He hasn't re-offended though, just broken the terms of his release. There is a difference...

To be pedantic, breaking your licence terms is an offence, however, I understand what you mean, but we don't know yet, but i'm willing to bet it's not a technical offence (like 'returning to Merseyside') he's done, as jailing him for that would undo all the cover-up work the authorities have done to keep this scroat anonymous.

Yeah obviously I'm not defending what he did in the past or what he has likely done this time but the amount of public furore both now and then was so disproportional things have to be kept in perspective. People complain about them being given lifetime anonymity etc, but if the same morons weren't chasing after them with pitchforks they wouldn't need it.

Of course he hasn't re-offended, he's just a very naughty boy. Let's hope it's jaywalking and nothing more.
