birth defects among children

Evidence is now coming to light about the enormous and increasing amount of birth defects among children in Falluhjah Iraq despite the efforts of the Iraqi government to hush it up. Defects are increasing annually and currently running at about a thousand per annum. The rate of birth defects is increasing so fast that women have been advised not to have children

In 2004 Falluhjah was a city where the Americans used thousands of bombs, rockets and shells using warheads loaded with depleted uranium. Thus the legacy of death and destruction heaped upon this oil producing nation continues.

History will reveal more in the future about the real motivations of those who declared war on Iraq because they said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction which he could use against the West in forty five minutes!

It's too early to tell what affect the war has had on birth defect rates. We may never know because as the Guardian's piece on this phenomena states:

"Previously all miscarried babies, including those with birth defects or infants who were not given ongoing care, were not listed as abnormal cases."

I'm not taking sides but if the Americans dropped a large amount of ordnance I presume the defenders used a large amount trying to defend the place. I doubt if they had depleted uranium but if any of their spent weaponry got into the water supply I can't see that as beneficial to health.

As Tony Blair travels the world earning millions and millions of pounds trading off the contacts he made whilst in Whitehall I wonder if he ever thinks about this. I doubt it somehow.

Max Tranmere,
Of course he thinks about it but he will never admit the truth which is: he ordered the war to get the oil and hung Sadaam Hussein to silence him!

Obviously or possibly? You seem keen to pass judgement before all the facts are in, Mike. I'd have thought that a man that claims to have been wrongly imprisoned would have a more sensible approach about anecdotal evidence and conclusion jumping.

This posting is about birth defects caused by the Americans using depleted uranium although one cannot blame the brave American soldiers in the field but the evil men in power who, your masters, who supplied these horrific weapons.
Now answer my question:12 million barrels of oil a day is being taken out of Iraq where is it going to and who is getting the money?
