I'm starting to wonder how much longer they can carry on with all this baby kissing and 'meeting the workers' crap which everyone knows is stage managed choc-coated insincerity on a stick.

I'm sure the public would respond favourably to someone who refused to play the game and just gave it to us straight. Unfortunately I know the media would tear them to shreds, but I wonder if this too is starting to change. Here in Oz I've seen a few pollies that are distinctly unpolished and frequently upset certain groups of people, but their popularity actually rises as they come across as genuine and unafraid to say what they really think.

Lately I've seen candidates that have been pilloried by the media win seats with comfortable margins and the media seems aghast that the voters haven't followed their instructions. The media is part of the problem in all this.

Anyway, vote for me and I'll abolish tax on thigh-high stiletto boots and gee-strings!
