Personally, being British, I much prefer the British spelling and ALWAYS use it in preference to the word they use "Across The Pond".
Not only that "Ass" is an equine animal !laugh!

Generally use the british "arse" but if affecting an american vernacular then "ass"

My website is viewed all over the World including the USA and I have a duty to keep the British end up, so there would be no question on how to spell "Arse" on anything that I produced.
