Given that you fervently supported the Liberal Democrats and said
"You can slander Clegg but I don't believe that he is dishonest and the reason the Labcon and Conlab parties are scared of him is that he will clean up the Augean Stables of corruption that exists in the UK. A special squad of incorruptible police officers will be formed to do the job and the anger of the British People will be satisfied. "
Given you also suggested Porn Historian was a dope for voting Conservative, any comments, Mike on today's and the last few days' events??

Now that the Liberal Democrats are sharing power they will win the next election! The old voted Tory because they are dopes and the young voted Liberal Democrat which bodes well for he future.

"Now that the Liberal Democrats are sharing power they will win the next election!"
We will see! In the meantime, enjoy the coalition dominated by the Tory party who, in your words, were voted in by dopes.
The only problem with your approach, Mike, is that the dopes, that you refer to, voted for "dopey" policies which will now be implemented in most of the key areas of the economy, foreign policy, home affairs etc.
Never mind. Its just a question of waiting 5 years for that Lib Dem victory. Eh?

Mike,
SOuthwark was run by a Lib Dem Con coalition since 2006. Labour wrested back control last week in the local elections.
St Helens, Merseyside council was ruled for four years by a Lib Dem/Tory coalition. Labour claimed power back.
Leeds City council had a Lib Dem Con coalition. Talks are ongoing after the coalition was short of an overall majority.
Camden was a Lib Dem Con coalition. Labour swept back into power.
Brent had a Lib Dem Con coalition. No more. Tories and Lib Dems lost seats to Labour.
However, I doubt this will shake your belief in the Lib Dems gaining power in five years time as a result of the glories of their part in the Lib Dem Con coalition!!
Cheers

Not a chance. They are going to vanish.

Whether you like the Lib Dems or not, you must agree that more choice for the voter is a good thing. Do you really think that just two parties handing power back to each other is healthy for our nation?

Yes, I do actually. When the third choice abandons all it stands for to lump itself in alongside their total opposites, it renders them completely irrelevant.

Ahh...so you cannot comprehend what diplomacy and working together means? Everything has to be black or white and anything in between is too confusing and thus 'bad'. You're either with me or against me!
I'm glad life is a little more colourful and diverse than that, Neddy.
Maybe that's why Labour were happy in letting the Lib Dems and Tories get on with it. Like you, they're comfortable with the 'it's either us or them' attitude. They see the coalition just as an opportunity to pick up left-wing voters.
For me, being left-wing means you're open-minded and progressive. Left-wing for you just means anti-Tory. I'm on record as saying I'd rather eat my own face than vote Tory, and I meant it. But I'm not so prejudiced that I would refuse to vote for a party willing to work with them if the democratic process meant that party might have to if they think it serves the country best. That, to me, IS progressive (even if it's working with traditionalists for a while!); that, to me, IS being open-minded.

You'd better eat your face mate, you effectively voted Tory by voting Lib Dem. Here's the salt, save me an eyeball.
