Everybody has to watch this

I am aware that you are a predominantly male audience on this forum but I promise you will get just as much out of this as I do.

Extreme makeover home edition, is an american show on living. It is very american but you will forgive it this because it will give you hope in people again. They take a family who has fallen on hard times, someone has died whole families have horrific illnesses, people burned their house down in a fire etc and build them a new one.

But these people dont sit and moan about how hard the world is they are wonderful people. A man was working three jobs and went back to uni to study science because his kids have an incurable illness so he could try and find one. They send them on holiday for a week knock the house down and re build it using volunteers. (thats the bit that usually gets me just to see how many people can care about someone they dont know).

It always helps to put my bad days into perspective, im alive and in a house. The amount of people who give up tome to help is so touching no one can watch this and not shed a tear. I havent phrased this very well because im a bit emotional but please try it if you can.

It is a great great programme. Probably impossible to do here because Americans don't have many semi detatched houses do they.

They tried it over here last year, they sent him over to do a project over a week in scotland. I think one of the main reasons it didnt work was because we aren't american. They seem so much open both to help and to sharing their feelings in public where as the scots just said thankyou very much and shook his hand. It was the polite way to react but the big hugs tears and sobbing are part of the euphoria build the original show can offer. x

- Im glad you watch you Dave x

I see kind acts from people all the time Maisie and it reminds me that there are enough good people in the world worth fighting for.

You could spend half an hourt just lying on Oxford Street and for every 100 people that step over you, one will say.."Are you ok? Do you need help?"

The kind of people I could happily throttle and bash their heads repeatedly on a wall are those who rifle through peoples pockets. usually those skulking little hoodies you know are dodgy because its a hot day and they are still wearing them with shades...As if they dont look suspicious

I guess throttling and bashing a hoodies head on a wall is a kind act too

Oh jack i didnt mean you had to watch this because the world is shit people are shit and no one cares. Its just we are all so busy these days we dont always have time to step back and remember that a world out side of our individual bubbles exists and this is a really nice way of remembering. I have no doubt lots of lovely people help and care for each other and pervail against hard odds but I dont normally get to see it and its always warm and nice to whitness such things.

Fair enough my dear...But I do see kindly acts in the real world and do try my bestest to contribute to that as well

I wish more people would see that its not that difficult to be nice and a little bit of niceness does go along way but it seems peopel are also suspicious of your motives when youtry to do good deeds as well and that can be frustrating.

Its almost like people think you are performing a magic trick or something expecting something bad as a result of a good deed

Manors dont cost a penny. I always try to do my little bits (Although to be fair I only usualy give money to tramps with dogs because i feel sorry for the dogs) but real life gets in the way of good intentions. Its not a wicked thing to be worrying about your own life, its just refreshing to see people who are going through anything I would call a bad day x 1000 and still spending all there time helping others.

Watch the show Jack let me know what you think then im hoping you will get what I meant to say and say it better. x
