The team's win may have been a fluke, but to go on and link that with the vile woman and then go on to associate her with the club and the town in general shows either a crassly stupid mind or someone who has had one too many (the post was typed on Friday night after all) and, lacking common sense and decency, wants to cause a row.

Davey, until Chelsea won the Prem by a single point the trophy had resided in the north for the previous three seasons. I don't think it's been sufficiently recognised that those three seasons are equivalent to Arsenal's Prem' winning total to date ie Man Utd have won the Premiership in the last three seasons as many times as Arsenal have won it in total.

Who are the 'Northern Monkeys' an what inroads have they made in Europe ? How many times has the European Cup/ Champions League resided in a non-northern location, assuming you would include Birmingham, Nottingham and certainly Glasgow as 'the north' ?
