I watched this film, 'Pimp', a few days ago. It stars Danny Dyer and is about the dark side of Soho. It is, rather bizarelly, shot as a pretend documentary - rather like how that series 'The Office' starring Ricky Gervais was done. This doesn't work at all, you would never have people doing illegal activities being happy to be filmed doing them. The story is crap too. The film was rubbish and all of the reviews I have read of it since have echoed that. Anyone else seen it, and what did you think?

Yeah that hard man Dyer thing is just becoming tiresome now.
Though Im sure the ladies love it. Still doesnt stop the fact I loved The Football factory and The Business but Dyer is trying to be something he so is not and thats what makes it painful.
That comment about slashing her face so no one wants her he gave in a magazine as advice was just not on either and testament to how he is trying to be all bad bwoy gangsta
Not cool D. Not cool
He has effectively pigeon holed himself which is a shame because I reckon he has the potential to be more than he lets on.
Lose the Sahf Laandan accent or you'll be forever typecast in them roles for eternity and end up on East Enders

Haven't got a lot of time for Dyer or his acting, but apparantly he is pals with quite a lot of "naughty" boys and has been for years. I dont think his hard man act is an entire put on,im sure he can look after himself.

Apparently that comment he made about how the guy should cut his girlfriends face so no man would want her (in his 'advice' column in a lads mag) was, according to him, a joke between him and the guy who writes the column. I've always known that the celebrities who 'write' these columns dont actually write them they just verbally say 'she should stay with him' 'he should move out of the house', etc, and the writer will shape that into a text and type up the reply. Danny Dyer claimed he said that in jest, he and the column's real writer laughed, and moved on to the next question. He apparently never knew it would be included as a repsonse in the magazine, and he left the magazine soon after it was printed.
Also, he was going to be in Eastenders at one point (from what I read). One thing that can be said about him is that he is a real geezer, as opposed to a mockney-cockney like so many famous people nowadays. He is from Canning Town in east London and now lives in - I think - Loughton, Essex.
