So, 17 years after he did a runner from British Justice, to Northern Cyprus that has no extradition treaty with the UK, this twatt Nasil Adir comes back seeking justice.
I believe that he has only come back because the Turkish Govt has told him to get the fuck outta Northern Cyprus.
Seeing as that our Dave is supporting their entry into the EU I suppose that the chat went along the lines of, "Well, Suliman me old china, send that thieving Poly Peck twatt back so we can bang him up and I'll see that you get elected into the EU"
Cynical moi, you better fucking believe it mateys'
Any body ele think along these lines?

Is he by any chance related to the absconding, sometime conservative party donor and ex-boss of Polly Peck, Asil Nadir?

I don`t know how you can be so cynical just because he`s had twenty years to cook the books and bury the truth. Next you`ll be saying you think OJ Simpson was guilty

Call me Mr Thicky but is Northern Cyprus the same place as Turkey? That is what is implied in the OP. I dont know the background to all this, except that Britain doesnt recognise Northern Cyprus. Bizarelly they gave out Azil Nadir's home address on the news tonight - 7 Brook Street, Mayfair, London. This is where he will now be holed up, wearing his ankle bracelet. I wonder if he still has the watch Michael Mates gave him.
This is a reminder of the dark, secretive days of Tory Party funding back in the 80s and 90s, when no one knew where the Tory money was coming from. Nadir was, it turned out, a massive doner to the Tory Party - hence Michael Mates pointing out how 'unfair' Nadir's treatment had been during his (Mates's) resignation speech. To give Tony Blair his due he opened up party funding to public scrutiny, bringing in a law that said anyone giving ?5,000 or more to a political party had to have their details, and the amount, made public.

Only because the fucking Turks invaded Cyprus in the early 70's and set up what is now Northern Cyprus behind the Green Line. Britain can't recognise it as Britain is chums with Cyprus (not southern Cyprus, just Cyprus)
Shame really as I love going to Cyprus and the Turks are just another bunch of muslim twatts.

There would appear to be method in his madness. Seems it might be too difficult after all these years to mount a proper prosecution.

Why? Is there a limitation on prosecuting bastards who fuck off to escape prosecution here to a country with no extradition treaty with the UK?
Ronnie Briggs was banged up when he came back, but then he had been convicted I suppose.

The loss of a lot of evidential material, both paper and electronic, as well as the death or incapacity of a number of witnesses (from old age) and the potential for a hugely costly and long trial, would seem to suggest that a deal will be made. His lawyers would have a convincing argument that he would be denied a fair trial when everything is taken into account.
