Scaredy scaredy custards

I see that Prince Harry asked Ricky Gervais to go to Afghan and entertain the troops but the yellow bastard said he was too frightened.
There's something wrong with these so called stars nowadays. I have been entertained by Harry Secombe and Jim Davison. Harry was never afraid to go where the troops were, having been in it himself, and Jim was usualy the first one to go to a shithole to entertain. He was the first to go to the Falklands and the first to Belize where I saw him and he shared our billets which were tin huts, hot as fuck during the day they were I might add and doubtless some out there will remember them.
Gervais, what a fucking gutless twatt he is.

If I were serving in Afghanistan I'd be mightily relieved to hear Ricky Gervais wasn't coming to "entertain" me. His cowardice does, after all, serve some useful purpose!

Well said Bob, you have given me a good laugh. My son shares your view.

I think I'd rather go to Afganistan than have to sit through one of Sir Jim Davison's acts!

So. At least he was honest. Most celebs who don't go just make up excuses about their timetable etc etc.

As far as I'm aware there's nothing wrong with being scared of a warzone.

He could shorten the conflict though.
I imagine if the abdabs had to suffer one of his shows, they would be running for the hills ------ and staying there.

Jim Davidsons acts for the troops is entirely different from his stage shows and I thought he was fucking brilliant when I saw him in Belize. Blokes I know who were in the Falklands say the same. Whatever Jims politics and views may be as a troops entertainer he is fucking brill.

The troops on the ground have a right to be frightened, and I understand it having heard bombs and bullets myself, but some tosser like Gervais needn't be, as he would be looked after, very well. Yellow bellied twatt that he is.

I agree with Sam - like him or hate him, it's only really up to Ricky Gervais if he wants to go to a warzone or not. If the rather frank adverse comments above are anything to go by, a huge part of the audience really wouldn't want him there anyway.

Also, I hate Jim Davidson and his politics/views on women etc but grudgingly have to admire his courage/stupidity to be such an arsehole yet regularly volunteer to stand in front of thousands of squaddies with direct access to guns and ammo. "Friendly fire" anyone..?
