Interesting site mate - makes you sit up and think (if even for a little while) just how 'bolloxed' we would be if some of these 'natural disasters' ever happened a bit closer to home - I put the Indian flood one over Peterborough - scary stuff

You are right. It certainly puts into perspective how devastating and widespread such disasters can be.

Also, I was amazed at how small Victorian London circa 1870 was. But then even where I live in built-up suburban Metroland, as eulogised by John Betjeman, was still a very attractive village surrounded by pleasant countryside as 'recently' as 1930.

Great site find.
I was intrigued by The potential blast radius of a WW2 German SC500 bomb. Would have wiped out my town and the Pakistan floods would have too.

Very interesting. Made me think.
