Getting Older - Not so Bad Really

At 50, I'm not exactly old but I still tend to think of myself as much younger. It's only when I have to state my age on official forms etc that I wonder where the years went.
Although I find injuries take a bit longer to heal and I need glasses to read, I reckon I'm having way more fun at 50 than I ever had at 20. I was always too shy to get anything happening with the girls, so the idea of being too old to chat spunkin' 19 year olds doesn't worry me as I never had that skill anyway. Besides, I find young babes enjoy flirting with me because they feel safe to practice on me and they know I'm mature enough not to take it as serious.
Also, what you lose in youth you more than make up for in experience. I can usually see problems coming before they happen these days. You usually have more money and are far less concerned with stupid fads and fashion that suck so much money away from younger people these days.
It's also comforting to see folks who are well into their final years (like 90's plus) who are still funny and lucid and able to take an interest in life and enjoy contributing whatever they can. I want to be like that when I'm an old duffer.
