Lord Alan Sugar not that impressive!

I often wonder why Alan or should I say Lord Sugar is portrayed as some kind of business guru. I think he encapsulates everything that is wrong with British industry, namely the brand name that should strike terror into everyone hearts:
!laugh!AMSTRAD!laugh!
His management tactics based around bullying, manipulation and pure greed are from a bygone age and a awful example to set to budding entrepreneurs.
Check out his finest business prediction:
"In February 2005 Sugar famously predicted that the iPod would be "dead, finished, gone, kaput" by the following Christmas. The comment topped the poll by T3 on the ten worst technology predictions ever."
I reckon it's Lord Sugar who should......"be FIRED!"

Money can buy you a lot but not Class
Got to laugh at his time at Tottenham...
1 trophy(league Cup) in 9 years and never placed in the top 6
all because he treated it purely as a business
A light weight shocker by anyones standards
Football is about winning trophies you dope not making money

Criticisms of Sugar rather miss the point. He and his bombastic, bullying style, the make weights on the panel, and the bunch of un-self-aware, unemployable, know nothing, have they even been through education, jaw-droppingly stupid wastes of space make great TV, if you like that sort of thing. The programme has nothing to do with entrepreneurism and everything to do with humiliation and entertainment which Sugar and the programme dole out in spades.

Don't forget, this twatt was responsible for Amstrad. The worst so called puter in the known world. Totally unupgradeable and with about tuppence worth of memory. The fucking 1st moon landing had more memory than this pile o shyte and that was less than a Texas technical calculator.
I would call him a big cunt but cunts are usefull. The bastard is nothing but a bullying fucking gobshyte, a fucking biggun at that.

Why else do you think he got the tv gig in the first place?

I would say that buying up Sinclair Research when it was in big trouble and making millions selling off its existing stock was the work of a business genius, as was launching the first affordable home PC, making cheap, entry level, music systems and, of course, seeing the potential in satellite equipment and helping to make sure Sky got the football rights years ago that would see satellite tv as the boom business of the 90s.
He might be a cunt and he might make mistakes, but the bloke can be fucking shrewd when he wants to. I'd love be a failure and have his money (instead of being a skint one as I am now)

I don't disagree, but he's still a gobshyte.
As for affordable PC's, yeh, up to a point, but they were still abysmal.

Hi
Jimbo on Alan Sugar
"I think he encapsulates everything that is wrong with British industry"
So in business terms Jimbo, where do you think it all went wrong for multi-millionaire business tycoon, Alan Sugar, estimated net worth ?700 million+?
Have you any lessons for him to learn from your own business expertise?
Cheers
D
