You get the same with DVD Shrink if you try to download it (not that you were) you get FBI & CIA warnings.
Lime Wire is one of the best out of the downloading software progs, we have been regular subscriber for a few years paying a fee every six months.
Its one of them court cases thats took years to get anywhere because Lime Wire went legal at the same time as Napster charging its customers a set fee every 6 months, they paid the music industry a said fee but like all businesses the music industry wanted more & Lime Wire stood up to them etc etc.
Doing what the music industry as done to them don't help push pirates to go legal because when they do there is always someone to knock down.

Seems silly that only limewire has been dealt with, whilst other programs that access the underlying gnutella network are still active. I wonder if they're going after them next?

Not only that usenet has got away with it for years and nobody seems to go after that.

To be honest, lime wire is a virus ridden cesspit, not fit for human consumption.

But limewire was only the access portal to the virus ridden cesspit. Other doors still exist, which is why I don't understand why it was targeted, unless its the first of many.
There are many other gateway applications that could be targeted in the same way. Any web browser, for example.
(unless there's a specific reason for limewire i'm unaware of)
