Hope he's in a better place, and a cleaner one, and a better one. Always cracked me up.

Surely you can't be serious??

I AM serious, and don't call me Shirley.

Fab guy. Pity they didn't make naked Gun 4.4

Yes. If you've not seen Wrongfully Accused then go hunting for it. Is one of his best imo.

I liked the TV ad he did for Red Rock cider back in the (must've been) late '80s.

"It's not red - and there's no rocks in it".

Sorry to see him go. His dead pan delivery was spot on and the way he understated his part is hardly ever seen in American comedies.

My favourite scene was from one of the Naked Gun movies.

It?s where he?s been chasing a villain, who for reasons too complicated to explain was sitting on a missile that has crashed into a firework factory.

The scene behind him is complete chaos, with explosions, fireworks going off, people running about screaming.

He pulls out his badge and starts ushering the crowd away saying ?come-on move on please, there?s nothing to see here?.

Hilarious.

And who can forget ?nice beaver?.

Very funny man and by all accounts a real gentleman. He also gave great advice to less talented Golfers....when playing over water take one more club, or two more balls...genius!
