man that guy was well old back in 1980. Still it remains the best Star Wars film ever!

Respect to Irvin Kershner who I had the pleasure to see in person at the italian restaurant round the corner from the Odeon Marble Arch where I once worked having a quiet meal with a lady friend (or was it his wife?)

He outlived Lucas`s credibility as a film maker at least.

With the exception of his biggest faux pas Howard The Duck I would say Lucas has transcended the mantle of mere film maker for making movies happen and owning the company instrumental in a lot more successful films than he could have possibly achieved in a his own life time.

The Star Wars franchise precipitated that. So respect where it is due Mr Chapel. George deserves that much.

Lets not forget that thanks to the likes of him that technology was kicked in its arse to be what we now take for granted today and had a huge hand to play with a certain Mr Jobs success with Pixar.

In other words, George Lucas is more than the movies he is known for if you know anything about him.

Irvin, (bless him) only has a handful, including Never Say Never Again, RoboCop 2 and Empire.....

Sorry, you was saying about Irvin eclipsing George as a film maker !happy!

George has real power. Irvin was a jobbing director. No offence to Irvin hiowever. he left his mark withthe best star wars film in the entire franchise....Again, owned lock stock and barrel by Mr Lucas

I`m not debating who has more pull or was the better director. I`m simply stating that Lucas is slightly above a one trick pony and constantly shits on his earlier work.
I mean we have empire strikes back followed up by the fucking planet of the teddy bears?? Almost eclipses Jar Jar as the biggest cringe inducing moment in movie history. And then we get Emo Skywalker.
?20 says that in less than ten years time he`s made or is attempting to make a new trilogy based on how the emperor tirns to the dark side.

And worse than all that combined he made an indiana jones movie with box office poison shit laboeuff .

Ok you win that round withth eteddy bears and jar fucking jar binks. i gotta agree with you.

It was so obviously a commercial decision to appeal to the ickle ones when back in the day everyone wanted to be Han Solo

Sod Luke Skywalker, pansy farm yard boy with the light saber. I wanted to be Han fucking Solo with the big ass gun, big dog friend and the princess, Ha, she had the hots for him back then too but then I was a kid so it was cool not to like girls because, well it was pansy playing with girls so yeah. Ill give you that

And OIII! Box office poison LaBoeuff he aint! He's a nice jewish boy being groomed for stardom by his mates. Leave the boy alone. Hes a good lad.

I really dont know why people have got it in for him so bad. Possibly because he has been within 5 inches of a certain Megan Fox and has more cash for his age to make us envious in these cash strapped times.

Dont worry about the smoke and mirrors mate. The boy's alright

Nah nah nah I didn`t mean Luke skywalker, I meant the emo fairy in the new trilogy, Anakin Skywalker.

I wanted to be Lando, space pimp and gets to fuck off with Hans woman and ship

LaBoueff is the Jewish Colin Farrell, to use a wrestling term, they couldn`t draw flies with a mouthful of horseshit.
