That's a bit of an ego boost, knowing that we are effectively now heading towards summer. I think the days only extend by about half a minute of extra daylight each day, but it is something.

Yes, excellent news. I can feel the sun on my face already, well almost.

Travelled down the M56 yesterday. Near Warrington, the red indicator on my Volvo which indicates cold external temperatures, went off. At the same time, the windscreen washer fluid stopped operating.

Initially I thought, fuck some of the electrics are packing up. THen I realised that the temperature was so cold it was outside the parameters used for the red indicator to come on. It was -12C.

The trees in the fields next to the M56 were entirely covered in hoar frost. Amazing. If it hadnt been the motorway I would have pulled over and got the camera out.

Its great to have real seasons again after a spell of wet warm summers and mild wet winters.

Cheers
D

And the sun has shone all day here in Leeds as it did yesterday. If it weren't so frigging cold it would be like spring.

I'm with you Andy. Celebrated the Solstice by watching a bit of the lunar eclipse and then a photo shoot with the gorgeous Tina Kay. Can't wait for my extra dollop of daylight tomorrow. Fuck Christmas, give me the Solstice every time.
