Got an email last week confirming an order and telling me it will take between 2- 4 weeks. Why so long? Do they go via Cape Horn?

It's usually quicker. Most US companies will overestimate the time it takes for parcels to arrive because it can vary a lot. I've had one from the US ordered on a Friday arrived on the Monday, but others have taken ten days to two weeks between the e-mail confirming the item had bee shipped and the item arriving.

If they mean it will take two to four weeks before they ship, then it's because they have to re-stock and it will probably take longer.
