On the night we have to change our clocks once again which is a pain, I would be interested to to know what the cost to the country is in having to do this twice a year.
In my opinion there should be no changes to our clocks in England and we should always keep BST.
If our friends in Scotland wish to change twice a year because of their lack of daylight problems we should let them do so. Anyway thay have their own partiament now which tends to overide English law anyway.
There is much talk of extra light in the evenings adding many millions of pounds to the UK economy anyway, which should be a good thing.

I can follow the benefits of keeping BST with dark mornings and lighter evenings in the winter.
One condition that is often overlooked is when the weather is very cold with frost, ice and snow like last December. It is far safer when by 7:30 there is some light than driving in total darkness. Yes it is dark before 5pm when if we kept BST it would still be light for the commute home but then traffic has been flowing all day and generally temperatures higher so roads are much safer than in the mornings.

If your body takes 2 weeks to adapt to a 1 hour time change I'd go see a doctor. I can adapt to Vegas time instantaneously with plenty of alcohol and numerous blow-jobs. If I want to be overly perky I'll take 3 x 500mg of vitamin c 2 weeks prior to take-off and 2 weeks post landing.
I've never suffered any ill effects with the above method.

Cheer up Nikonman - I live in Budapest and yet we also changed our
clocks on saturday night ! I think practically all Europe did !
Mind you, seeing these hot little Hungarian babes in their tiny summer
skirts on a sunny evening is perhaps more entertaining than the
talent on show outside the Rialto in Dagenham on a rainy Brit summer
night.

Fuck the Jocks. If the crofters want a time to suit them let the dour bastards set their clocks to it and leave us to set our time.

Why not leave the clocks on Greenwich Mean Time all year round? After all, we invented it.
Shifting the clocks about changes less than you might think. The amount of actual daylight remains the same. It is just available at different times of day.
Evenings are more dangerous than mornings on the roads, especially in these days of cheap alcohol and all-day opening, and of sparse police patrols, because drivers have had more time to drink too much. Light and dark make little difference to that.
