Hi Guys.....Done quite a bit of work lately with Jennifer from Nottingham and was stunned when she told me she gets very very little work.

She will not entertain B/G work but is well up for G/G and solo stills and video work.
I told her I would give her a plug here, and she was keen, so if you are looking for an unpublished fresh new face...Jennifer is the girl..also she is a real funny pleasure to work with.
Everybody I have shown her pics/vid too goes potty over her so really cannot understand why she goes unnoticed.
Plug over.....sorry guys.

Cheers Cornish Chris.

She's pretty enough and I would certainly hire her accept for reasons that I have set out in many other threads.

Charging realistic fees and replying to e-mails may help her find more work.

Don't worry Chris, I'm sure she'll survive !

The B/G with partner always makes me smile I have to say.
It's nearly always the guy who pushes it + the girl who's left
to regret it following the break up.
But don't start me off about models' boyfriends 4 gawd sake !

Asking for ?20 AN HOUR just to sign a model release is totally unrealistic. She has the right to charge what she wants, but loses the right to complain when she doesn't get the work because her fees scare people off.

I have regretted loads of posts on this forum but this takes the buscuit.
You must take as you find, and in this case I find very very reliable friendly and organised..but if you guys know differently then fair play.
I Thought ?20 for a model release is infact very very reasonable.
I have shot 9 girls in the last month and model releases have ranged from an extra ?10 to an extra ?75 which is fairly standard. I reckon as a ball park figure an extra hours fee is about normal for a model release fee....but in keeping with usual responses I will probably be told I am talking out of my more than ample arse.
Why bother..is it all worth it....mental note to himself.....post and be damned.

Cheers Cornish Chris. (humbled and corrected as usual)

I know absolutely nothing about this side of the Biz That We Call Porn, but can anyone enlighten me as to why, having posed (and presumably been paid for) photographs, a model (or the Industry 'system') should then demand a further remuneration in order for those shots to be published?
Is it a form of gratuity, a 'tip' as it were, for the model's good behaviour during the shoot?
Seems a bit like my dentist charging me an extra tenner to take his drill out of my mouth after having given me a filling.......

I would say that 70% of shoots are done by photographers for "personnal usage", strange I know but true.
For an example I recently had the pleasure of snapping the
lovely Carri Lee at Studio Janor. She was resident model for
3 days and undertook a dozen sessions in that time. Of the dozen sessions I am lead to believe I was the only one that requested
model release. So in that case the other 11 were shooting purely for non release, and were charged accordingly.
I however recieved my model release which gives me cart-blanche
usage of the 400 images. Basically I can publish, resell, alter, distort ect to my hearts content.
Granted this cost me a modest fee...but don't forget the model has to sign away all rights to her images, and has to supply the photographer with full real name, address, telephone number,
and produce 2 forms of ID.
In my honest opinion the extra loss of privacy having to supply such details warrents a fee...which I am happy to pay.
But I can see your point JJ I have never really thought about it like that.
