A legend! he was always a cheery presence, shame he hadn't been seen much lately.

Agreed. A real gentleman and a credit to the sport.
Only the bell saved Ali, then Cassius Clay I think, from being knocked out by Enri.
RIP

I cant really comment about 'our 'Enry' the boxer (out of sheer ignorance!) but I concur he was an absolute Gentleman. And even if not 'The Greatest' he must have been a great i) to put Ali on his arse & ii) to excel at domestic level at a time when boxing was much more culturally embedded in the UK. Surely?

In any case, the world has suffered a tragic loss.

Yes and under today's rules Henry would have become World Champ as the count now continues after the bell...

A real gentleman was Henry and will be much missed. My father boxed quite a bit himself and I can remember watching Henry's fights with him during the 60s. Boxing was a proper sport then and not the soap opera we seem to have today.
That left hook of his was justly famous, but he wouldn't have become World Champ when he knocked down Clay in that fight as it wasn't a world title fight.
