You can take that fuckin 35 year etc banner down !

Oh and by the way, it won't be another 35 years before we win our next trophy either !!

While I salute City their constant bantering of Man U is a bit shallow. I can't stand Fergie or his team but you cannot knock the record books. The only thing of value in City's trophy room, until yesterday was a pale blue carpet.

Its good to see City win something after taking stick from United fans for so many decades.

However, it sums British top flight premier league football up in a nutshell.

Football team going nowhere becomes billionaire plaything. After 3 years, billionaire succeeds in buying a trophy and getting team into Champions League.

What are we mainly celebrating here, a sporting triumph or corporate activity? You may as well have a banner from Barclays Banks fans celebrating the fact they have made more profit this year than RBS.

I and probably most real football fans, couldn't care less so long as we win everything.

'Constant bantering', your having a giraffe. We have suffered more than most whilst the team from Salford has had it's (derserved) success. But it's our time now hopefully !

Well I suppose it's slightly better than having a human rights abuser like Shinawatra owning the club.

Mind you if you had had a human rights abuser owning the club while Adebayor was a City player, he might have run around a bit more!

Its alright being on the gravy train I suppose until the Aarabs decide to get their gravy somewhere else and then it's back to trying to raise transfer fees by selling extra pies at half time.

"And Blackpool have never been owned by anyone of dodgy character?"

Fair comment, but I never said dodgy dealings/characters in football, were peculiar to the top flight. I'm sure Sven Goren Eriksson and Notts County fans would back me up.

Did anyone hear the Man City fan on the FA Cup quiz on Five Live?

Q: How many FA Cup medals does Ashley Cole have, three or six?

City fan: Four.

They provide us with hours of harmless entertainment, though sometimes it feels cruel to laugh.
