45% Increase in Immigration

I am surprised that there have been no posts commenting on the 45% rise in immigration to this country over the past 12months.
After all the talk by this government about cutting the figures, it seems to be another broken promise, which will be impossible to implement under current EU rules.
I feel sorry for young people from this country due to leave school and uni. in the summer with no job prospects.

Maybe people are more relaxed about it than you.

Both your topics are a good example of the shackles of Political Correctness at work. I know I've posted the article below before, but it's worth reading again, as it explains how we've become completely controlled by this form of political thought and just how dangerous it is. New Labour spent 13 years ingraining it into the mindset of the country, so that in the end, even the topic, of immigration, was considered racist.
The lack of reporting about the teacher being beaten by Muslims is a classic example of PC indoctrination, why? Because Muslims are a "Victim group" and therefore can do no harm as far as the PC brigade are concerned.
Although the attack is factual, the PC brigade would consider it a bit too, "Daily Mail" to report it. That's how sick this country now is. The new Tories unfortunately are unconsciously still carrying the PC torch handed to them by New Labour.
In the end, Nikonman and AlexL, both your posts and their topics, will be considered illegal to raise or discuss in any public forum. If New Labour were still around I think that day would have been coming quite soon. It will just take a little longer for the Tories to do the same.

Hi
I would be surprised if Cameron was stupid enough to commit to reducing overall immigration for the simple reason that any British government currently does not have any control over
1. How many people leave the country.
2. How many people from the EU enter the country.
WIthout leaving the EU, the only thing he can control is the number of non-EU people entering the country. Given very large numbers of non-EU people entering he country are students paying top dollar for university courses or employees of multinational companies who have a presence here, it ain't that straightforward.
Cheers

We have been grossly betrayed by successive governments on this subject, but by none more so than Labour from 1997-2010. I find it incredible how Governments are able to do things that the entire nation is against, yet they do it anyway.

Dear Nikonman - worry not about the kids leaving school this summer
without a job......just tell them to get off their lazy teenage arses and
go look for work in Europe ! They are part of the EEC, they have a hell
of a lot of countries to choose from.....Oh, I forgot, they don`t speak a
foreign language (like 90% of the EEC folk who come to UK for jobs).
Well then get into night school and catch up !! The foreigners who pinch
their jobs are bold enough to leave home for a strange land. Nothing
stops British youngsters from doing the same........and reading these blogs
makes me wonder if they dio not simply mask a veneer of race hatred !

Frank, if something negative is occuring domestically because of out of control immigration then it is not a 'race issue' if people oppose it and are angry about it. 'Racism' is when it is unjustified dislike. If an overcrowded country becomes even more crowded and if the ways and traditions of a nation are eroded because of differnt ideaoligies being importd from abroad then it is reasonable to be in opposition to it. I would be against Saudi Arabia becoming more and more Christian (it wouldn't be allowed anyway), just like I oppose Britain becoming more and more Islamic. It is also reasonable to be annoyed when you don't hear your own language spoken in the area you live in - on the bus or in shops - and when you can't even remember the last time you had a neighbour who had English as their first language. Just like I think it would be wrong if German wasn't spoken much in Berlin or French spoken much in Paris.

Yes Frank, let's take our hats off to those plucky young foreigners who reach our shores to look for a hard days work for a hard days pay! Hoorah! Hoorah! I say!
However, let's not forget that when it all goes tits up, those same plucky EU members can also languish on our wonderful benefits system. When their girlfriends get pregnant, enjoy all the benefits of the NHS. Oh yes and when the kids are born they'll be looked after and educated free of charge! Yeah, try doing that in Budapest! lol
Yes it's very easy tp be plucky and brave, when thanks to the long suffering UK tax payer there is a huge safety net ready to catch you when you fall. You also forget that many young EU members live in the most boring, appalling dumps and learning English is their gateway to freedom and fun. I remember in France in some shit hole town, which was like everone had recently died, it was so deprssingly quiet, a young cashier in a shop who couldn't contain her excitement at coming to London.
The English language is now the international language of communication. Are you suggesting that our youngsters learn, Hungarian, Italian, French, German and maybe Serbo-Croat, so that they may possibly find a job in any of those countries? Of course they wont find a job anyway and of course they wont get bennys either. Why? Because these countries jealously defend whatever welfare they have and keep it exclusively for their own peoples. They don't give a toss about EU rules.
People come here because it's exciting, vibrant, friendly and welcoming. The UK is a magnet for all foreigers ranging from the hard working and honest, to organised bands of thieving scumbags. Unfortunately in a dumb system all are welcome!
