Does anyone use any of the free video editing software available and if yes have any very easy to use recommendations please.

Not looking to make huge films just putting together some clips of home movies for a friend.

Playable with VLC media player and with my pc skills as basic as stick in, cut, copy, paste as possible.

Seen a few but and wondering which is best before I take the step !happy!

I noticed that the download is free but there is also a pay option.

Can I just make sure it's not one of those free downloads that has limits which you then have to pay for?

I did one a while ago and it was pointless. (just kept getting messages saying you need to upgrade all the time)

Because I am not very good with things like this I want the free option to see if I can actually use it. If I can and get better at it the paid option will be looked at but at the moment I can't risk or afford to buy.
