Andrew Bridgen/Archbishop of Canterbury

There's nothing like a good MP sex scandal. I've been missing them for awhile.

Apparently Tory MP Andrew Bridgen was arrested and bailed on suspicion of a sexual attack on a 29 year old woman in the early hours of the morning. Hopefully this one will involve bondage, oranges and perhaps cheap, Spanish cucumbers.

Meanwhile, the Archbishop of Canterbury launched an attack on Call me Dave and the Cleggster.

In the New Statesman magazine, the Archbishop said the government was facing "bafflement and indignation" over its health and education plans: "With remarkable speed, we are being committed to radical, long-term policies for which no-one voted. At the very least, there is an understandable anxiety about what democracy means in such a context."

Message to self, "Ed get that bloke in the Shadow Cabinet.

Interesting that Bridgen is noted for stating that swivel-eyed barmpot Andrew Lansley should not change any aspect of his Health Bill. To do so would be to give in to "Stalinist tendencies".

Message to Jimbo, "Bloody hell, callimg people Stalinist simply because they disagree with you. Your kind of MP, eh Jimbo?"

!wink! !wink!

David,
I have been reading parts of the speech that the Archbishop gave yesterday in a couple of todays papers.
I have to admit that one of them was the Daily Mail which of course was very anti.

In my opinion I would have agreed with most of the things he said.

I am surprised that there has been no comments so far on your post of yesterday.

Hi
I agreed with what he said. He rightly attacked the labour government over the Iraq war so there is an element of even-handedness in his interventions.
Cheers

Yes if I compared him to swivel eyed loony, Andrew Lansley, "quiet man" catatonic Ian Duncan Smith, slack-jawed George Osborne and man from another planet, Jacob Rees-Mogg.

But I guess it is all a question of perception.
