Scott and Bailey

Never watched it, but tonight's episode concerns an adult film actress accused of murdering her husband. Whilst I am in no way suggesting any 'art imitating life' scenario, it might be interesting. Mind you, don't expect the model in the frame to be treated with any sympathy, or even verisimilitude come to that. It never seems to occur to writers or producers that a large proportion of their viewers actually like porn.

...although, of course, such viewers will often deny having a predeliction for porn!

Indeed. It would probably be helpful if more people were actually prepared to admit an interest, but in the meantime many would see what's unfortunately happened to Josephine of this parish as a salutary warning against putting ones head above the parapet.

Jesus. Whatever Josephines's detractors agendas are ('moralists'? 'Christians'? etc etc) there seems little - if any - justification for such vitriol. We don't know the full story, of course, but I believe we all concur there is no justification for hate etc.

As an aside, I can happily testify that, to the extent of my knowledge, all porn conisseurs have a more highly evolved sense of morality than most (witness postings of the good 'Dr' David Johnson et al).

Most pornographers ARE moralists. But don't get me started on Christians!

And anyway, how did Josephine's detractors discover her 'extra curricular' activities? Double standards, methinks?

Ahhh, you see, when they're looking at it, it's called 'research'.
