British Tennis..crap for years
As we watch Andy Murray getting beat this week (as we surely will) we are reminded yet again at the dire state of British tennis with a load of our so called 'top' players being International no hopers earning a living scratching around in second level tournaments.Despite the LTA getting millions to grow the game it remains a sport mainly for the Jeremies,Sophies,Torquils etc etc.who are not hungry enough .If they fail then they can go into Daddy's business. The LTA is a fucking disgrace, totally useless at getting raw talent spotted and nurtured. What's more it's been the same for forty years.Chief Exec Draper and his ?400K salary overseeing mediocrity at every level. We may have the best tournament but our best players are mostly third division plodders.Andy Murray is our best by a street but he is a neighbourhood away from being one of the all star greats..he never will be.And as for Tim Henman what the fuck did he ever win?

Tim Henman, surely winner of "Tennis's Most Enduring Loser", isn't doing so badly!

What sums it up for me...
Is when Robson who won the junior girls Wimbledon title, won a match in the seniors championship this year at the age of 17.
The press had a picture of Robson on the front page after her first round win. This was the age, 17 when Maria Shaparova actually won the Wimbledon Singles Title!
Just shows the gap, I guess.
Cheers
