Ah, but see, Steve, the thing about Thatcher`s handbag is that it is an icon ie it represents a period in recent British history as significant as
Churchill`s famous cigar ! Like you, I wouldn`t bid a penny ! But, whether
one hates Mrs Thatcher or admires her it must be admitted that in her prime
it was rather hard to ignore her (bouffant hairdo, awful nasal voice and all).
