1. Emails have been forwarded to the police enquiry allegedly showing Andy Coulson authorising substantial payments to the police while he was editor of the NOTW - a criminal offence. Apparently Vanity Fair contacted the NOTW saying they had a story that the NOTW had hidden these emails.
2. News that the NOTW has "discovered" the evidence of who in the NOTW commissioned the hacking of Millie Dowler's phone number and is in the process off handing it over.
3. In the wake of a number of multinationals suspending adverts in the NOTW, Rebekah Brooks' position as UK Chief Executive looks precarious.
4. A public enquiry is going to take place when the police investigation is complete.
5. Glen Mulcaire, the odious little shit of a private investigator is doorstepped by the media and asks for privacy for himself and his family.
6. Ofcom state that they can use the fit and proper person test if required to consider any takeover of BSkyB.

After both Labour and Tory governments not having the gumption to take on Murdoch, to see Murdoch finally get something like his just desserts, is great.

Maybe David Cameron could provide Harrods picnic hampers for his ex-Comms Director Coulson and bosom pal, Brooks when they are inside?

People who read this forum should take special pleasure in any misery,
litigation, loss of revenue and general disgrace that now hits the NOTW
and its journalists ! For decades past the NOTW took special delight in
humiliating and "shaming" those who made porn and those who watched
it ! As porn has been more socially acceptable in the last 10 years so the
bastards turned their attention to kiddie stuff and occasionally S & M. But
the number of porn folk, from the 1930s to the 1980s who filled their sad
pages must run into hundreds !

Of all the comments, most of which I agree with, Murdoch still own's 39% of BsyB, so why not stop your sky subscriptions, that would really upset the applecart, the problem is it's one thing to stop buying the NOTW, but all those TV subscriptions, nah, "not givvin up me footy", I have never given Murdoch one penny, his organisation on the other hand has Indirectly given me quite a bit, so if your all serious about your hatred for this man and his organisation, give up that sky TV subscription, show how appalled you really are.

I won't give up my Sky tv, BUT, I am a Virgin Media customer so he gets the minimum possible out of my pocket. Give up football. the free ESPN and all that good stuff they show like live hot dog eating? No chance.

I stopped buying The Sun and NotW three years ago.

Incidentally, there's a very good article on The Spectator website about all this. Nobody comes out of it very well, apart from The Guardian. Press or politicians, they were all hiding from the truth and, in some cases when it comes to the police, apparently helping to hide it.

I can see Coulson and Brooks both going inside for a while.
