robbed JD Sports of ?20,000 worth of trainers and ended up getting a ?100 fine and a meal voucher to Tesco's cafe for the inconvenience, stories.

A survey was done of 124 cases heard before magistrates courts re. the rioting.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/data

THe main findings were

1. Those found guilty were mainly receiving prison sentences - an average of about 4 months or being passed on to higher courts for sentencing i.e. sentences more than 6 months.
2. Of the 1.7 million cases heard before magistrates last year, only 3.5% led to remand in jail. This week the rate is nearly 60%.
3. 24% of the cases have been committed to crown court.
4. One bloke who stole a ?3.50 case of water, got six months.

Now just to make it easier for the usual suspects to post a reply, I have tried to make it straightforward by posting some typical responses based on my knowledge of the forum and its posters.

Please note: by stating a particular option below, I am not agreeing with the content!!!!!! Got that all those who could miss the point of a post when it was waved in front of their nostrils????

1. Don't get me wrong, I'm not racist, but were most of them black or camel jockeys?
2. Yeah, but David Cameron didn't appear in the magistrates court so what the fuck is your thread entitled BGAFD Shop a Moron Competition about because you go on about Cameron? You are naive or at the very least ignorant.
3. You are a fucking prick, Johnson by glamourising violence in this post.
4. What only six months, the fucker deserved to be hung and quartered and his entrails sold in any butchers that got smashed up!
5. If it had been me, there would have been no-one in the magistrates courts, because I would have shot all the fuckers.
6. If we hadnt had Gordon Brown as Prime Miinister, none of this would have happened.

There you go lads. Get rid of your frustrations ready for the weekend. Take care now. And enjoy your weekend, one and all.

Cheers
D

I'm glad the bloke got six months for nicking that water, if we'd had more sentences like that in the last three decades or more, we may not have a youth in this country that thinks a life of crime is cool and something to embrace. Fuck him.

David - this item worries me a little, not for its subject matter but its
implied comment about you. I am not sure if its your idea of wit (I must
suppose so) or whether you wanted to wave a red rag at some "bulls"
and see who would charge at it....but, my dear chap, it seems couched
in terribly condescending language, almost as if you know better than
the other regular contributors. If you do not have a clear point to make
I would prefer you lay off on elitist jibes like this one. Or, to keep mixing
my metaphors, have I got the wrong end of the stick ?
