I think a North Korean would find your definition of 'police state' quite laughable..........except he wouldn't laugh as he's not permitted.

I agree Arginald and it worries me a lot. I like to think the British are still
basically a cheery lot (or so visitors to the Olympics seemed to think), but
this political correctness is scary. I see that along with" Fawlty Towers", a joke about gays liking things to be clean around the house was excised from
a recent repeat of "Porridge" and there are plans to cut some of the jokes
on "The Fast Show" that stereotype foreigners.
Who is behind all this PC crap in Britain ? Its all frighteningly Orwellian. Hang
on a moment. Didn`t Orwell himself once write about "the pansy Left". Oh
dear ! Lets censor him as well !

The BBC have been "re versioning" their content for use on the internet for some time. There are different standards in different countries including for instance the need to remove any shots of ladies with bare arms as that may be considered offensive in many muslim countries that have internet access.

Let's all ask ITV to repeat Curry & Chips and Love Thy Neighbour!! That should upset the PC brigade for ages! Shut that door!!
