This movie was also named "Cet homme est une femme", directed by Michel Ricaud.
I didn't seen it but read a short synopsis in an article about porn crad (L'echo des Savanes, 1992), french hunters going mad and rape even trannies (so the 2nd name....).
Ricaud aslo directed "''il voulut ?tre une femme'', a story about a tranny (sorry no english version use a translator).

This one is a remake of a french rape&movie called "La traque" directed by the late serge leroy.
Both are excellent movies.
