I wonder which of PAL and NTSC Private releases give the best picture quality using a European PAL-NTSC player. I have some in PAL, some in NTSC and they both look nice, but the Tatiana NTSC picture quality is quite bad. I don't know if Private shots all its movies in PAL or if they sometimes convert them from NTSC to PAL. The problem is that the transfer from one system to the other leads to loss in picture quality, especially when it is not done correctly.

Any recommendation whether using PAL or NTSC Private releases?

normaly pal has always a slightly higher picture quality since the frames are captured in 720x576 pix resolution. ntsc is 720x480 pix instead.

things can change if the movie has been transcoded between different formats. a resulting copy cannot have a better result.

i think it's not possible to give a general advice for standards in private releases.
