as everybody knows, there are many versions of "Caligula".
Who can tell me, which is the VERY BEST und UNCUT version?

The potential problem here is that I doubt many will have seen more than two versions.

I've seen the original US R Rated version and the Swedish version.

I've not seen the US unrated or Italian versions both of which are some 10 or 11 minutes longer than the Swedish version and I therefore don't know what I'm not seeing from those versions.

I prefer the Swedish version as it has more content although, at times, it is very obvious when there is a hardcore intercut.

There are several movies called "Caligula", if you go to the IMDB

But there are 3 explicid movies with that name

I saw this one and the only thing that I remember was Laura Gemser
and that there was some kind of animal sex in it

There are two versions of this (at least), one is shorter with the opening sequences removed.
