As I look through the catalogues of reliable European suppliers in the hope of finding some dvds that might just be worth ordering, I am finding that there is, apparently, virtually no quality European new porn now being made. Most suppliers have endless lists of American rubbish and those who mainly supply European products seem to have to offer either products which appear to have been made several years ago, mixed with the odd classic from the 70's or 80's.
Is anyone in Germany or elsewhere in Europe making quality porn anymore? And if not, why not?

Glad you bring this subject, I was asking myself the same question. Based on the last movies I have seen, I would say German porn is still in good shape. However, some online stores seem no longer interested in selling it. I think that because of the German protection of minors "Jugendschutz", demand for American movies imported by European stores has increased substantially. There are probably other reasons to be added.

I am sure the reasons you give are entirely valid, but it does not entirely explain why there seems to be a lack of quality mainstream porn films being made in Germany today. It is difficult to date porn but from the people who appear in the majority of German films appearing for sale, it would appear they are between 5 & 10 years old.
