Absolutely not true. IAFD has always had seperate pages for them. Just look at the perfIDs.
Morgane Gole (more on that name later) has this perfID: "Dita_pr".
Megan Cole has this perfID: "Noemi".
Both perfIDs point to the way they were first listed in the IAFD. Morgane as Dita from a couple of Private flicks, most notably
The Matador 8 and
Private XXX 13: Sexual Heat. Megan as Noemi, also from a couple of Private flicks, most notably
Superfuckers 8 and
Exotic Illusions.

I have never had them confused in my private dbase. Like you say, they started out as looking very different anyway.

She has been listed as Dita in the IAFD ever since she appeared in
The Matador 8 as Dita. That would be ever since 2000.

You should buy the French magazine "Hot Video". Dita and her Italian (and French) titles have been discussed there several times. More on this later.

There is a corrections button on each movie page and on each performer page. Letting us know about mistakes is so easy, really.
btw, there is a whole lot more wrong with our data for
Striplease than the confusion of Dita/Megan. We list it as a Private title for chrissake. (Hey, in 2002, I was not involved with the IAFD.)

Actually, I took it from a cap posted by j.j. in the forum. It is in fact the third headshot we had posted for Dita -- and all of them were correct.
The first one we took from Private. The picture was made during the shooting of
The Matador 8:

The second one was made from a scan I made from one of her appearances in Hot Video. By this time she was a redhead and I specifically used this picture to replace the first Private picture to make it clear that she and Noemi are not the same girl:

The Hot Video headshot was uploaded to her IAFD page on April 6 2007. Shortly thereafter j.j. posted screencaps of Dita in the forum here. I liked his caps better than the previous two headshots I had uploaded to Dita's IAFD page and so I replaced the Hot Video pic with j.j.'s cap on May 31 2007.
(If alec or j.j. object to the IAFD using the current pic, I will make sure the Hot Video pic will go back up.)

Well now, if anybody copied anyone, they must have copied it from IAFD. How do I know this? Because I know the origin of the alias Morgane Gole. It was me who changed her main name in the IAFD from Dita to Morgane Gole partly because that's how she is known in my private database ever since 2000.
There are at least 2 reasons the IAFD has changed the main name from Dita to Morgane Gole.
1) When Hot Video introduced her in 2000 in some articles devoted to some of her Italian videos, they refered to her as Morgane Gole. So she was in fact introduced to French (and other) porn fans as Morgan Gole. It was probably a typo on their part (they fuck up details as much as anyone out there -- in this case I can hardly blame them though since the Italian producers themselves spelled her name in ever different ways), but since that was the way I was first introduced to her, I have decided to use the name in my personal dbase.
2) Another reason to stick with this name in the IAFD (as well as my private dbase) is precisely to avoid confusion with Noemi/Megan Cole and because it is more distinctive than Dita. Dita has had her aliases spelled in so many different ways, it's almost pointless to prefer one over the other for research purposes. So we opted for the name with the least possible chance of confusion with Noemi/Megan Cole.

Again not true. The Hot Video articles published in 2000 in which she was introduced as Morgane Gole were about Italian movies made by Romagnoli such as
Passions ? Saint-Domingue/Das Paradies and
Desiderando Selen. They were made (but not necessarily released) in 2000 and she was credited with variations of the Megan Cole name in them.
It's much more correct to say that she used the name Dita in France (where she did more videos than currently listed on EGAFD), variations on the name Megan Cole in Italy and Angie Bright when she worked for DBM.
Just for your information, take a look at
this EGAFD post I have made on December 1 2006. I IDed the DBM alias Angie Bright as being Megan Cole for the EGAFD and I added the comment "and no, she is not the same as Noemi", which was still a question mark on EGAFD's page for Megan Cole/Dita at the time.
Sorry if I was so defensive. But you know, you can accuse the IAFD of making many mistakes, but just not this one. We might have added specific titles to the wrong performer, but we really have never confused the performers in toto, to the point for instance that we had only 1 listing for them.
