Lol, glad you like my site but I'm not sure why you are posting it here. Not really related to EGAFD.

Also it's already more than a year since I last updated. Time sure flies. Still have several hundred pictures on my HD I never uploaded...

It was al part of my master plan to start a european cult movie site (a la HK Cinemagic) since I had recently finished a PHP course although the current site is pure HTML, automatically generated by formulas in Excel and DOS batch files (don't ask ).

However I saw it too big as I wanted basically everything. Movie info/video releases/reviews/news/complete multilanguage support for credits and casts since different dubs or prints have different names for the actors or characters (no site I know has this)/galleries of trailers,screenshots,artwork,casts/etc. All the content would be supplied by users allowing to constantly edit their own content with admins merely overviewing everything.

But since the job I started around that time had nothing to do with webdevelopment, I quickly gave up and went on a while with the crappy html site.

If I had persisted maybe I would have had something to show now though. I should continue, at least with the HTML site but you know... it's a lot of work for a relatively small group of interested people.

As soon as I win the lottery I'll be hiring a company to create this site though

No it would not have porn (I guess you wouldn't visit it then as there is no point in competing with sites like EGAFD and IAFD. Old horror/western/animation/giallo/softcore/etc info is lacking on the web. The info that is available is scattered around the web and forums.

And it would be more like DVD Profiler (if you know the program), but webbased and not limited to DVD. With info coming mainly from home video releases.

The problem is not really making the "viewing" part of site itself, but the system for users to contribute content. You won't get really far without user contribution for such a project. And they way EGAFD does it puts too much strain on the person maintaining the site. Respect to Alec for keeping it up so long.

I lose sleep at nights worrying about this. OK, I' don't :- ))
Also, love the [unintentional?] double entendre :- ) I upload about a
tenth of the new info I get every month, mainly because I accept that A
is not [although I'm sure he'd wish to be] a superman. I worry sometimes
that I might die before I'll get it all in. Sometimes it's very hard though,
not to run with a topic when the subjects are interrelated.

Like I said, it are small sites and forums scattered around the web. Finding info is not so easy as going on a site like EGAFD or IMDb. Especially info about casts (due to dubbing/the lack of onscreen character names/local language prints used in different countries) and is hard to find. That's why I started my site with pictures...

Well, there is always some overlap of personnell, and as fas as the punters here goes, also some overlap of interests.
