"The British Board Of Film CLassification is happy for the world to watch a revolting film called Ireversible, which contains lengthy and literally vomit inducing scenes of ultra-violence and rape.
This celluloid sewage is supposed to be a form of art, the standard excuse advanced for permitting pornography ever since the Lady Chatterley trial 42 years ago.
People shouldn't make films like this. But if they do so society must defend itself against them. Pornography pollutes the mind. The filthier it gets, the the easier it is for Hollywood and the TV companies to introduce reduced-strength muck into their output, claiming it is mild or soft.
Films and TV influence behaviour, or why do advertisers spend billions on them and on placing their products in movies and programmes? They undoubtedly desensitise us, making it easier to do awful things. The growing laxness of the film censors has darkened our society and I am surprised any of them can sleep at night."

Hitchens just gets more and more wrapped up in his own confused hysteria. This latest moralising rant from a man who has no problem with seeing countries bombed to oblivion. I've always steered clear of the 'Daily Mail'/'Mail on Sunday' so I advise you people too also.

I want to read/watch/listen to whatever i want to without someone else deciding, censoring these things for me. These right wing bastards seem obsessed with taking peoples rights away and deciding things for them. There are countries (dictatorships) in the world who's governments work like this, their called "CHINA, SAUDI ARABIA, RUSSIA" and so on, so why don't they fuck off and go live in one of them and see how they like it. It wouldn't be long before there's a lynch mob after them to hang them because of something they have done which the natives find offensive, like drinking alcohol. 2 faced moralising bastards.

No i'm the complete opposite of her, the media isn't FREE, most of it is now owned by government companys and Puttin is a former member of the KGB. Russia might be a democracy but it's still all very sinister with the government owning the media and the amount of organised crime being involved at all levels and Putin being KGB. Is the porn industry legal in Russia? and how many of their "stars" are working against their own free will?

Is the media in the UK free, given that much of it is owned by members of the House of Lords? The tentacles of control may be more visible in countries like Russia and Iraq, but we are all of us slaves to the dark forces. We need a figurehead, someone to unite all men, someone that we can march behind to reclaim this planet in the name of liberty and humanity. I vote that person should be Rebekah Jordan as she has the nicest bottom.
