This is a fine exemplar of what I call Private's 'Red Period'-
many of the indoor scenes are shot as if from a brothel, full
of shadows and eerie contrasts, with the girls' faces illumined
only occasionally by a harsh spot, like rabbits caught in
headlights. Remember, these caps are from the remastered
DVDs- can you imagine how hard-to-watch the original tapes
were?
