Is there any sphere of life that Dan Brown's pile of tosh
hasn't infected? I really must read it some day.... perhaps
the day after I have my prefrontal cortex surgically extirpated.
Adamo makes a decent fist of the sex scenes [I'll draw a
tactful veil over plot-related matters; all I will say is that
I quit when confronted with Pascal St. James' 'Vitruvian Man'].
The soft-focus is still there in patches but the colours are
[appropriately enough] vibrant and rich and [with the above
caveat] crisply-defined. Not bad, with the glaring exception
of sc. 5. Widescreen.

Priva as Libellule. I prefer the old name, 'dragonfly', to
go with 'butterfly' [Papillon]- and then we could rename
one of my least favourite male actors 'cockroach' [Cafard]

For me this scene fails utterly, for the sole reason that the
cast wear dominoes throughout. Even though it's relatively
easy to tell who is who, if I can't see a woman's face, there
is little eroticism ;
