Much rejoicing here at Castle JJ, as I've finally managed to find
a well-stocked Scandinavian online retailer [www.martinshop.se, take
a bow...] whose credit-card processor doesn't turn up its [doubtless
Nordically-perfect] nose at my perfectly valid but apparently offensively
British Visa-card : -))
My DVD-copy is a dual-title with 'Livat p? landet'- they are also
available separately. 'Dalkullan' apparently means 'girl from Dalarna',
a region popular with Swedish holiday-makers.... live and learn, eh?
I could find nothing to indiate that Amandla plays the titular role-
my guess, from the opening-sequence which shows Kristine apparently
returning to her birthplace, suggests it ought to be she who is
'Dalkullan'.

Amandla is post-op; Alexandra in the sex-scenes wears a [rather
sinister] mask-and blonde-wig affair, combined [until it's inevitably
removed] traditional Swedish costume- albeit with very nice modern
underpinnings : -) I don't speak a word of Swedish but I assume
this device reflects some sort of split-personality syndrome in the
character played by Alex, allowing her to express her otherwise
repressed sexuality.
Males: Clabbe Fjong/Martin Thiesemann/J Tyson [S Biceps] ‘m.fl.’
[which I take to be the Swedish version of ‘et al.’].
