Hi John

Is there a reason why your website (www.johnmasonstudio.com) hasn't been updated for months?

I've contacted cool-piranha and they said they were updating from the 1st November. Still no updates.

I've been a member for quite a few months and havn't seen a single update since i joined.

I'm going to cancel because as the months go by, the membership is money for old rope with no updates

Sorry to hear about your problems with the site. As you may have seen, I have left Cool Piranha, but that is no excuse for no new updates. I'll speak to the webmaster on your behalf and see if he can sort you out with a 'free' months membership until the site is updated.

I cant speak for John, who seems like a thoroughly decent guy to me, but you do raise a good point, when people part with thier money to join a website that promises, regular updates, and fresh content added weekly etc!.
It,s a shame they dont follow through on thier promise, hence it,s good to have a forum like this, where you can ask someone about thier experience,s before joining any site.

Don't know about John's site but I do know from limited experience of adult site building that really, to do justice to a site and add interesting new content (not just pictures) it takes an awful lot of time, commitment and at least some talent for what you are about. If that site is not your main breadwinner then it is almost impossible to do, as you have to concentrate on what is actually earning your daily bread. It's no good spending all your time building a fantastic site is you are only going to sell two videos a week from it.

John's site is managed which is even worse. That means that any work he has done on it he has to pay Cool Piranha to do - I don't know what they charge but if I had spent all week on it I would be expecting ?1250.00 quid. Which is what any decent computer professional/ graphic artist type geezer would expect. If I were such a geezer based in Soho I would probably be expecting substantially more. So apart from the money - and everyone I know in the adult industry is struggling - you have to actually get the company responsible for your site to do the work. But they will have other client?s jobs to attend to, so they will fit it in when they can, possibly weeks later!

Don't be surprised if the vast majority of adult sites do not get updated very often as to do that you need a team of talented professionals working on it 24/7 - much like Private or Vivid. Us small-timers do it when we can spare a minute.

Why do site proprietors make false or misleading claims about content and updates? Elementary my dear Lizard - to encourage you to hand over your dosh and hence facilitate the making of a living.

I was a member a while back. The site had some excellent sets of pictures and updates were taking place nearly every week. Then all of a sudden nothing. The log-in screen said the same message for months, and I notice that it still hasn't changed.

John I see that you have now parted company with the people behind the site, so I hope you won't take offence when I recommend that people should not join this site. If you do, join for a short period of time only, then leave. Don't let them drain money from you for old rope!!

If you join you pay for what is already there - if no updates you cancel the rebill - hey then you haven't lost because you still got all the good stuff previously. It's not brain surgery.

And when you find a great site that does professionally update and doesn't deteriorate in quality or grow stale then you stick with it - but they're hard to find!

We update daily on with either a full lentgh video or two picture galleries...But our system is automated so all the pictures are already there the program just adds them each day hence making it alot easier...plus if, say like today, I have a massive hangover and cant be fucked to update I do not have to as it is done automatically.
