I am currently reading it. It's called "8000 femmes".
This man has had a life! He explains with detail both his erlebnisse and the social and political atmosphere of France. He had an interesting youth!
One needs to read well into the second half of the book to reach his beginnings in the porn industry. Here I am beginning to find what those pioneering people were like.
Also some gossip data about his coleagues, male and female.
As I haven't read any other book about these people or subject, I find it often revealing.

Whenever I see a figure like that I groan.
I saw unbelievable figures from John Holmes, Rocco Siffredi and J.P.Armand. As if they kept records.

If you work 200 days a year, have two women each working day, and keep going for 20 years you end up with 8000. Though probably quite a few duplicates amongst the lot.

... and let's not forget that they were usually doing 5-minute quickies, often
semi-flaccid, rather than the marathons demanded nowadays. Although of course
they didn't have our range of modern pharmaceutical aids : -)

Try to figure the dynamics and mathematics when Holmes, Siffredi and Armand speak of 13,000+couplings, even considering their long career.

It doesn't seem to leave much time for smelling the flowers in the park : -)

None of the mentioned actors or any prolific actor works 200 days out of a year. They may be more busy in some period more than others but 200 days a year (and STEADILY without any beak?!) that means they are doing at least one sex scene every other day. Tell me one actor or actress who has done done THAT steadily for a very long period of time.
I recall Brigitte Kerkove bragging (what seemed to have been a record at that time) that in her first year in porn she shot approx 200 sex scenes (not movies, just sex scenes!). It would also be logical that in those 200 scenes there were a lot of "repeats" (same males whom she bonked at various times).
I don't know how long Lemieuvre worked in the pon industry but France was not producing 10,000 movies per year in the 1970's or 1980's or that Lemiuvre was in all of them. I think he just pulled a figure out of a hat (like Holmes, Siffredi and Armand) to make bragging rights about fishing that "big 15 foot trout" that nobody ever catches.

I don't think anyone takes these figures seriously- and they are unverifiable.
IMO such bragging makes the boaster look like an idiot- let's remember that they
aren't getting all this pussy through personal magnetism but because the women
are being paid. Not something one can particularly take pride in.....

Go tell that to Ron Jeremy, who has elevated the art of whale bonking to new heights. To him, any girl is just "delirious" (my translation would be "delusional") in fucking a "legend". Yeah right...
I can understand a minor porn player making such a gradioso claim, but when a major porn actor mentions such a figure it really deminishes my appreciation and admiration if you will for that performer.

People [well, some Americans] say Jeremy's a really funny, intelligent guy and
he's apparently made some headway as straight actor [probably playing himself,
which in my view doesn't count].... I can't attest to the truth of this proposition
but think it somewhat unlikely.
