A particular genre of movie was so expensive to purchase?

I was thinking this about the X-streams range of flicks and emailed them and got this reply:

"Hi Shaun

Our videos are expensive to make and our quality is the
finest you can get.
You have to pay for quality!

You can of course find pirate copies of our titles, we
realise that. But just consider this, many people have bitterly regretted buying pirate copies. Why?
You will probably end up buying a video that looks as if
it was shot in a snowstorm ... and that's if you're lucky.

Some pirates sell cassettes that contain tape that will
literally wreck the heads on your video recorder. You may as well scrape your sensitive video heads with a piece of sandpaper! So if you have to pay a couple of hundred
quid to replace your video machine heads, you may well
change your mind about the price of our titles!!

dvd's ?18 on stb - fair price?

with 'el cheapo' VCRs for 60 quid, who ever gets their heads replaced?

I could do with a replacement head . . . . .

Are the STB ones pirated? I bought a couple of tapes direct from X-Streams once and the quality was great. But I have seen thier stuff for sale by STB and Vidshop. So I just wondered if they were real sell-through originals or pirated copies.

On a personal level X-Streams are very good to deal with. Helpfull and polite. I suppose its reasonable to expect a "specialist" company to be a bit pricey.

All of which reminds me that I must get round to buying Katys stuff from them (not the poo films though! even I am not that perverted)

My latest purchases of X-streams stuff have been from Adultmediashop which were DVDs so I think these were genuine, hjowever the tape I got from Oscar was a pirate as there were three films on the one tape, and my video heads are still unscratched etc.
