I was keen to see Sabrina [15]'s outing for WC but was astonished and utterly
outraged that he's still putting his [always less-than-photogenic] carcase in
front of the camera. Have none of his flunkies the guts to tell him that he's
about 10 [OK, 15] years past this? The resemblance to Malone increases by the
day..... as I've said before, I'm really happy that he's getting laid so often
[quietly passing over the observation that he has to pay for it every time], but
what insane delusion convinces him that people would rather see the talent get
porked by a balding beached elephant-seal rather than a trim young stud? And
does he pay extra to get them to squeal in that histrionic "ecstasy"?
The technique hasn't changed for nearly 20 years, either- still the inadequate
fixed-cam and distance shots. So much for "acclaimed" and "innovative".....

Sorry for the rant, but there's so much skanky bad porn out there we really
don't need glossily dressed-up bad porn as well. If he can actually sell this
crap then all I can say is that a lot of punters are very easily pleased.

Well this a rant that usually gets glossed over in porn. Nobody really to address the issue but there is a lot of this "abuse"
This relates to directors who feel entitled to either appear in non-sex roles or on occasion to bonk the talent pool, for no other reason that a big ego and vanity purposes.
How many times have you seen Bini's, Del Mar's, Henri Pachard's mugs in their movies, just to mention a few?
Did they or other directors ever care that their presence in front of the cameras were irritating to say the least? Were you ever the least annoyed that Hitchcock (as talented as he was) had to insert himself, even for a few seconds, imn just about every movie he directed?
As with everything, porn consumers can vote with their pockets. You don't like R. Malone, R. Jeremy, Woodman, Del Mar? Well, you do not need to rent, buy their movies or subscribe to a web site where such material is found.
It may not be the best solution, but how many movies has the presence of a Jamie Gillis, Ron Jeremy, Randy West, Malone, Mark Davis, James Deen, Mr Pete, and countless others have ruined my possible enjoyment of a movie? I would say too many, but that is the nature of either mainstream movies or porn. There will always be a large number of people that you find unpalatable or simply disgusting.
Pierre Woodman is truly past his time. The fact that he works indipendently and churning or recyclke "casting" clips, seems to indicate that he has little market value.

Yes, I quixotically keep expecting higher standards than I have a realistic right

Porn does disappoint, if only to see either female or male performers who are unappealing and just refuse to fade into oblivion. When you add directors to that equation, it only puts salt on the open wounds.
It is simply a question of vanity and entitlement: I am a legend, I have been around X number of years, I paid my dues, everybody loves me, my movies sell well, my phone still keeps ringing, why should I quit when I don't know how to do anything else in life? I want to continue making porn until my teeth fall out.... Yawnnnnn

Castings & Gonzo by their very nature even with decent talent in use have a limited appeal but i do agree the ageing performers coupled with young nubiles is a bridge too far unless its nothing more than a young girl blowing an older guy as it has context

works quite well but you wouldnt want to see him doing her

I think Mr Dover had it about right ...stay out of the picture as much as possible and if you have to get them to blow you simply as a point of difference nothing lost.

Anything that showcases the model is a plus

Anything that takes the spotlight off her is called losing the plot

Watching the likes of Ed Powers & Randy West looking like their about to burst a gasket I do think Patrick Riley might have been speaking some truth in his reviews where he describes 4/5 of the major casting guys
as ego centric.

I recall an old interview made several years ago (don't rememberl where it was posted, possibly the old Lukeford site) in which a former associate of Woodman (a grey-haired British actor-director you are all familiar with) spoke as to how P.W. recruited women/models for his movies. He did not paint a pretty picture from what I recall.
