Are there any docummentaries on porn made by the porn industry itself where explicit content is actually shown, unlike those made for TV (HBO, etc.)?

There have been in the last 40 years, but not necessarily made by the "porn industry", some (without hc content) by TV networks like the American PBS, the British BBC and the Canadian CBC.
There is not that much of a market for it, so much of what is out there mostly deals with porn profiles involving the careers of Ron Jeremy, John Holmes, Shauna Grant, etc.
In the very early 1970's a number of porn movies were made/released in the US and peddled as "documentaries" to get around obscenity laws: SEXUAL FREEDOM IN DENMARK, CENSORSHIP IN DENMARK by Alex de Renzy, WIDE OPEN COPENHAGEN 70, De Renzy's A HISTORY OF THE BLUE MOVE (1970) which featured old stag loops, HOLLYWOOD BLUE, MAKING THE BLUE MOVE, SEXUAL LIBERTY NOW, PERSONALSm, etc
Eberhardt and Phyllis Kronhausen also weighed in with such works as FREEDOM TO LOVE (1969) and even WHY DO THEY DO IT (1971,Denmark) in which was even profiled Bodil Joensen and her attraction for barnyard denizens.
One of the earliest profiles of a well-established porn star, in this case John Holmes, was EXHAUSTED which was released at the time of the infamous Wonderland murders. The porn documentary on the life and career of Ron Jeremy "Porn Star: The Legend of Ron Jeremy" (ca2003)
Then there is the recent INSIDE DEEP THROAT (2005) which profiles the infamous and breakthrough cult classic. There is BEHIND THE SCENES OF AN ADULT MOVIE (1984, Cal Vista) which basically profiles the movie EXPOSE ME NOW (1982). And "Debbie Does Dallas: Uncovered" which profiles the other cult movie of the 1980's "Debbie Does Dallas".
TV networks from time to time have done documentaries and stories about the porn industry. One of the first was PBS with the scathing "Frontline: Death of a Porn Queen" (1987) which looked into the tragic life and brief porn career of Shauna Grant, which ended in her suicide . PBS also did a later one featuring Belladonna and Rob Black (which would result in the government going after Black for obscenity). The Canadian CBC has done numerous stories on the porn industry, and BBC has as well.

Not forgetting John Lindsay's 'Pornbrokers'. More self-publicity than doco, but

There is La Vitrine du plaisir which is not quite but almost a documentary, and The Making of Josephine Mutzenbacher which is the real deal.

The documentary genre can mean many different things and can be defined in many different ways.
One could make a case that most modern gonzo porn is documentary in nature.
As for more classical forms of documentary and porn, I guess the work of Jean-Fran?ois Davy should always be mentioned.
Les Pornocrates and the different installments in the
Exhibition series come to mind.
